Above Slab Drainage Channels Are An Incomplete Solution

We were called out to a house in Minneapolis. The owner, was dealing with a wet basement. When we came to assess the problem, we saw that she already had an above-slab drainage channel installed in part of her basement. As we’ve seen time and again, these channels are an incomplete solution to a basement water problem. Water continued to pool in the block walls of her foundation, and eventually found its way around the drainage channel system into other parts of the basement, damaging a bathroom along the way.

We set to work to install our rigid drain tile system. We had to work carefully in a few tight areas, but our experienced crew was up to the task. When we were finished, Cathy said she’d “…never seen a jobsite so clean,” and that Standard Water “exceeded [her] expectations”–which was no small feat considering that she “…picked the company with the highest rating.” In closing, she said,” I was very satisfied with every aspect of this job. Thank you.”

Standard Water has years of experience tackling tough water problems. If you have water in your basement, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
