Which is Better for Foundation Stabilization?

Foundation problems are a nightmare for homeowners. They can cause cracking, settling, and even worse in extreme cases. Luckily, there are ways to stabilize a foundation and prevent further damage. Two popular methods are using steel I beams or Invisibeam straps by Fortress.

Steel I beams have been used for decades to stabilize foundations. These beams are strong and can support a lot of weight. Once the beams are in place, they are bolted to the foundation walls.

While steel I beams are effective, they have some drawbacks. For one, they require excavation which can be expensive and time-consuming. Additionally, they take up a lot of interior space and can be an eyesore. Finally, steel can rust over time, which can weaken the beams.

Invisibeam straps, on the other hand, are a newer technology for foundation stabilization. These straps are made from carbon fiber and kevlar, are incredibly strong and do the same job as steel I beams without the drawbacks. They are installed by attaching them directly to the foundation walls.
