Why Install A Battery Backup System?

Factors that cause basement flooding, from power failure to torrential rains or a frozen discharge pipe, are likely out of your control. Standard Water’s custom branded battery backup system helps you regain control … and peace of mind. At the heart of the battery backup system is a pump capable of moving 2,400 gallons of water per hour at a 10 foot lift, nearly as much as our SP33 main sump pump. It has a stainless steel shaft, rulon seal and a rust proof housing. The backup pump also has its own Dual Float Switch, just like the main pump, for years of worry free operation. As a plus, Standard Water installs — at no charge — two discharge pipes; one for the main pump and one for the backup pump giving you double the pumping capacity if needed.

Now, the Backup Control Unit is truly special. It monitors household power, battery and pump conditions. It runs the backup pump once a week to ensure proper operation and will sound an alarm if a problem arises. Don’t worry, you can silence the alarm, if you need to. The battery is heavy duty and can run for 7 and a half hours straight, intermittently for days and will remain viable for 5 to 7 years. Plus it protects against the number one reason other backup systems fail … low fluid level in the battery. Our batteries are maintenance free; saving you from hassle and exposure to battery acid, off gassing, and the like. Call today for a free, no obligation consultation.
